I reside in Jaffrey at the foot of Mt. Monadnock with my wife Patricia. We moved here from Connecticut in 1972. I have always loved the mountains and believe this is the closest you can come to living in the mountains and still be able to reach the employment opportunities of a city. I taught rock and ice climbing with the Appalachian Mountain Club. Winter and Summer. I climbed every steep cliff in the Adirondacks, Green Mountains, and White Mountains and in Maine. I climbed in the Rockies, the Cascades of the Pacific Northwest and summated two 20,000. foot peaks near Mt Everest in Nepal. I’ve seen the Taj Mahal and Katmandu.
I have canoed the Connecticut River, the Erie Canal, and the Ohio River out of its mouth into the Mississippi River. Played Tom Sawyer on an Island and found a woolly mammoth tooth.
My wife and now use a tandem kayak to visit the large lakes and ocean shores of New England.
